My New Job

After quitting my weird job at Toys-R-Us, and spending most of December and January like a bum (much to the shame and embarressment of my boyfriend, Andrew), I applied for a job as a legal assistant at a law firm in Edmonton called Bosecke Song LLP and was offered the job.

I started working for a younger lawer named Baerach Anderson who works mostly in Real Estate law. At the last firm I was at (Edney, Hattersley, and Dolphin) I was doing mostly Family Law and Wills. So working for a real estate lawyer has been a huge learning curve for me. Thankfully Baerach has been really understanding so far, and the other assistants working at the firm have been super helpful.

I have my applications for law school in at U of A, U of S, and UBC, so hopefully I won't have to work as an underling for much longer, but in the meantime it's definitely nice to have some money in the bank and to be learning so much about real estate (especially since my mom is turning into a real estate junkie).

Well, that's what I've been up to for the last month a bit here, for those of you who think I've fallen off the face of the earth ;)
